For the first time since Victoria Clements’ disappearance nearly ten days ago, Wiltshire Police is allowing the public to join a large-scale search.
The 53-year-old was last seen in Devizes on the afternoon of 22 September – she left home without her phone, money or vital medication.
The event is due to take place this weekend, on both Saturday (2 October) and Sunday (3 October).
Members of the public will be able park at the Wiltshire Police headquarters in Devizes between 8.30am and 1.30pm on either day, where they will be briefed before being given a search area. Those involved must return to the HQ for a de-brief.

Whilst the search event is open to the public, under 18s, pushchairs, dogs, horses and drones are banned. Those taking part must also be fit and healthy and wear appropriate clothing and footwear.
It is also a requirement that people have a working smartphone with the app what3words installed. It’s free to download and may prove vital if Victoria is located in an area that is difficult to pinpoint, like in a vast woodland.
If the Wiltshire Police car park becomes full, searchers may be turned away. Car-pooling or the use of public transport is advised.
Searches must stop before dusk and trespassing is forbidden, nor must anyone enter water or railway land. It’s understood local farmers are aware of this large public search.
