A man has been arrested over the suspect supply of drugs in Melksham.
Officers executed Misuse of Drugs Act warrants at three homes in Sangster Avenue, Pembroke Road and College Row this morning (Tuesday).
Firearms officers supported the operation as the neighbourhood policing team worked to crackdown on the supply of Class A and B drugs in the the town.
A 19-year-old man arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of controlled drugs. He remains in custody.
Class A and B drugs, several thousand pounds in cash, two swords and a suspected drug line phone were seized during the raids.
Local inspector Louise Oakley and and neighbourhood sergeant Charly Chilton led the operation on the ground, supported by Inspector Andy Lemon back at base.
A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: “Three warrants, one morning, and another example of the work going on every day to tackle drug-related crime in our communities.
“Officers in Melksham carried out three warrants this morning, resulting in the arrest of a 19-year-old man on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class A and Class B drugs.
“Members of the media were invited along to see first-hand the action being taken behind the scenes.
“It’s a reminder that tackling drug dealing isn’t just about arrests – it’s about gathering intelligence, executing warrants, and disrupting criminal activity to help keep our communities safe.
“Thank you to the officers involved for their hard work and dedication.”
