A 15-year-old boy has reportedly been stabbed with a machete in an alleyway attack in Trowbridge in the early hours of this morning (Tuesday).
The serious incident is understood to have taken place in the Longfield area, where a crime scene was in place for forensic work earlier today.
Wiltshire Police confirmed that a 15-year-old boy sustained potentially life-changing injuries in an alleyway between Sparrow Street and Drynham Road.
The force said that they “appear to have been caused by a blade”. However, the victim’s father claims the weapon used was a machete.
A spokesperson added: “We have arrested a 15-year-old boy on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent and he remains in custody.
“Our enquiries are ongoing.
