A motorcyclist has been killed in a crash with a car on an A4 junction near Avebury.
Emergency services were called to a two-vehicle road traffic collision on the busy road at West Kennett at around 7pm on Sunday evening (19 July).
The incident involved a green motorcycle and a silver Fiat car on the junction for the B4003, which leads to Avebury.
The biker sustained significant injuries. Members of the public started CPR ahead of 999 crews arriving at the scene.

A short time later, police and the ambulance service arrived, as did Wiltshire and Bath Air Ambulance – which landed in on a farm just metres away.
Despite the best efforts of those involved, the biker was pronounced dead.
The driver of the car was taken to the Great Western Hospital, but isn’t believed to have sustained any serious injuries. A passenger in the car — a teenage boy — was also taken to hospital with minor injuries
A forensic collision investigation was launched, with the road closed overnight.
