Two air ambulances have attended a serious crash at Castle Combe Circuit.
Emergency services were called to a road traffic collision at the popular motor racing track near Chippenham shortly before 12.30pm today (Monday).
Wiltshire and Bath Air Ambulance and Midlands Air Ambulance were scrambled, landing on the circuit before treating a casualty with serious injuries.
The patient, whose name and sex has not been confirmed, was rushed to the Major Trauma Centre at Southmead Hospital in Bristol by land for further treatment.
A spokesperson for South Western Ambulance Service said that they sent an ambulance, an operations officer and two air ambulances to the scene.
There appeared to be a large number of motorbikes on site, but the exact circumstances surrounding the collision are unclear at this stage.
