A man and woman are being quizzed over the knife murder of Neil Bambrick.
Emergency services were called to Broad Street in Broadgreen, Swindon, at around 9pm on Tuesday evening (11 July) following reports of a man having been stabbed.
Police officers and medics provided treatment in the street before being taken to Great Western Hospital. He was later airlifted to Southampton General Hospital by Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance, where he was pronounced dead in the early hours.
The victim was yesterday named locally as Neil Bambrick, aged in his 40s and from Swindon.
Detectives arrested a man, aged in his 40s, on suspicion of murder shortly after the attack and a woman, aged in her 30s, the following day. Both remain in custody for questioning.
Forensic work was carried out at three crime scenes – a house in Broad Street, a lay-by outside Swindon railway station and a flat in Glasworth Close, Liden.

“A woman was arrested at around noon today on suspicion of murder and has been taken into custody for questioning.
He added: “We are not looking for anybody else in connection with this incident, however we are continuing to conduct extensive enquiries and residents will continue to see an increased police presence across the town.
