A man is fighting for his life after having a ‘medical episode’ at Swindon bus station.
Emergency services were called to the scene off Manchester Road, in the town centre, at around 5.15pm yesterday (Thursday, 27 June).
Police officers arrested a man, aged in his 50s, on suspicion of being drunk and disorderly when another man collapsed into cardiac arrest nearby.

Wiltshire Air Ambulance landed on the forecourt after police officers started CPR on the casualty with support from the public before ambulances arrived.
Numerous people – stood just metres from the incident – had to be told to stop filming the patient being treated, according to an eyewitness.
Wiltshire Police confirmed that the patient, also aged in his 50s, is in critical condition after being rushed to the Great Western Hospital for further care.
The bus station as taped off by police for more than an hour, with some bus services delayed.
It’s understood officers checked CCTV footage of events to ascertain if any assault had taken place – but this was quickly ruled out.
