A four-year-old boy and a 19-year-old woman were struck by a van after alighting a bus in Swindon on Friday evening (22 May).
Emergency services were called to Dorcan Way following the serious crash outside the Holiday Inn, near Coate Water Roundabout, at around 6.10pm.
Wiltshire Police have confirmed that the pair alighted a bus in the road and attempted to cross behind it – where they were subsequently hit by a van.

Thames Valley Air Ambulance and Great Western Air Ambulance (GWAAC) attended the scene, landing in nearby fields. GWAAC also sent a team in a rapid response vehicle.
The woman and boy were treated by at least seven specialist critical care medics, three ambulance crews, numerous police officers and several members of the public.
Both casualties – who suffered serious injuries – were rushed to John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford for further treatment, where they remain.
