The family of a woman who was found dead in Lacock say they are “devastated” in a moving tribute shared with Wiltshire 999s.
44-year-old wife and mother Hayley Davis-Savage, from Chippenham, died following an incident next to the river adjacent to Lacock Abbey at around 11pm on 13 August.
Wiltshire Police have launched an investigation into her death, treating is as “unexplained”. Detectives are still working to establish the circumstances 12 days on.
On Monday (24 August), the force were seeking a group of males who had been flying a drone in the area earlier that evening. The footage may hold key information.
In a tribute, the family said: “We’re all devastated at the loss of Hayley, a great wife and mother taken way to soon.
“She had an incredible sense of humour and was the most resilient person you would ever meet.
“All her many friends, colleagues and family will miss her dearly, and we are all hoping that the police can answer all the questions that we have.”
Anyone with information relating to Hayley’s death should call Wiltshire Police on 101.
