UPDATE: Forensics descend on stabbing scene in Chippenham street
Two air ambulances have been tasked after a teen boy was stabbed in Chippenham.
Emergency services were called to the scene in London Road, near Royal Oak Close, at around 4pm today (Saturday).
At around 4pm, police and ambulance crews were dispatched following reports that a teenage boy had been stabbed on London Road near Royal Oak Close.
Police were first in attendance, with two officers seen providing urgent first aid to the casualty – who suffered knife wounds – on the pavement.

Ambulance crews were tasked alongside Wiltshire and Bath Air Ambulance and Great Western Air Ambulance Charity (GWAAC) – both of which landed in Baydons Meadow.
Two air ambulances — including Wiltshire & Bath Air Ambulance and Great Western Air Ambulance Charity — were tasked to the scene, and officers provided urgent first aid to the casualty on the pavement before he was taken to hospital for treatment.
The injured boy was rushed to Southmead Hospital in Bristol for further treatment. He was taken in a land ambulance, with GWAAC medics on assisting on board.
A 15-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of inflicting grievous bodily harm with intent and taken into custody at Melksham custody while detectives pursue house-to-house and CCTV enquiries.
The road was closed in both directions as a crime scene was established between Larkham Rise and Phoenix Close, with cordons in place and forensic enquiries ongoing.
London Road has been closed to motorists in both directions between Avenue la Fleche and Blackcross.

At the height of the incident, there were more than 15 police cars in attendance – including several armed response vehicles.
Detectives arrived on scene within 45 minutes of the stabbing, and are carrying out house to house and CCTV enquiries in the vicinity.
