Forensics have descended on a stabbing scene in a street in Chippenham.
A teenage boy was rushed to hospital after he was knifed in London Road at shortly after 4pm this afternoon (Saturday).
Cordons were put in place between Lackham Rise and Phoenix Close, where a defibrillator could be seen on the ground alongside bloody clothing.

Forensic investigators arrived at the scene shortly after 6pm – photographing the area and gathering key evidence.
At 8.30pm, work was ongoing. Detectives remained present; some took notes while others knocked nearby doors and looked for CCTV cameras.

In an earlier statement, a spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: “We have arrested a 15-year-old boy on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent, after a teenager was found with stab injuries in London Road, Chippenham.
“The injured boy is currently being treated for serious injuries.
“We are appealing for any potential witnesses, CCTV footage or anyone with information to contact us on 101 quoting log 189 of today’s date (31/01).
