A woman harassed her dad by repeatedly calling unneeded ambulances to his address.

Amy Stoneham pleaded guilty to sending false messages by public electronic communication network to cause annoyance, inconvenience or anxiety and harassment.

At Swindon Magistrates’ Court on Friday (12 January), justices were told how the 29-year-old made numerous hoax 999 calls between 3 October and 17 October 2023.

The calls resulted in South Western Ambulance Service crews being sent to her father’s home at Albion Street, in Swindon town centre, on multiple occasions.

The defendant, of Shrewsbury Road, Swindon, was handed a community order with the requirement to complete ten rehibilitation activity days.

She was also fined £150 and told to pay £32 costs and a surcharge of £114.
