A major search operation involving more than 40 trained volunteers is underway for a missing woman in the Marlborough area.
54-year-old Charlotte disappeared while walking her dog early this morning (Saturday).
Wiltshire Police said officers are concerned for her welfare and issued an urgent appeal for information about her whereabouts.
Wiltshire Search and Rescue teams have now been deployed by the force’s control room as part of the response to the high-risk missing person investigation.
More than 40 professionally trained volunteers are involved in the operation, with specialist search and rescue dog teams also responding.
Berkshire Search and Rescue Dogs and Hampshire Search and Rescue Dogs are among those supporting the search in the Marlborough area.
Marlborough Town Football Club is also assisting the operation by providing facilities to search teams, despite hosting a local derby match.
Charlotte is believed to be wearing a long green raincoat and has shoulder-length brown hair.
She is thought to be accompanied by a Dachshund dog and police have warned that she may appear confused or upset.
Members of the public are being asked to remain alert and report any sightings of Charlotte immediately.
