A Warminster teenager has been charged with attempting to rape a young boy.
The 15-year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, previously appeared at Swindon Magistrates’ Court on 8 September 2026.
The hearing was adjourned until tomorrow (Wednesday, 7 October) for case management at the same court.
The defendant faces one charge of attempting to rape a boy aged under 13 in 2024.
The offence of attempted rape is indictable only, meaning it would normally go to a crown court.
Due to the age of the accused, the case is being heard in a youth court.
Reporting restrictions are in place. The victim has the right to lifelong anonymity, while the defendant is only entitled to anonymity until the age of 18.
