A high street through a Wiltshire village has been closed whilst emergency services attend a serious fire.
The blaze broke out at a house in Tilshead, near Salisbury, earlier this evening (Sunday).
Several fire crews are in attendance, with firefighters battling the blaze. Police and the ambulance service at also at the incident.
High Street is closed in both directions and is likely to remain closed until tomorrow morning (Monday 5 December).
One person has been taken to hospital for assessment – but isn’t believed to be seriously injured.
A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: “We are assisting our colleagues at the fire service following a house fire on the High St, Tilshead.
“The road is closed in the direction towards Chitterne. Drivers are being advised to use alternative routes.
“One person has been taken to hospital as a precaution.”
