A road in Wilton is expected to remain closed for several days after a wall collapsed at a former pub.
North Street was shut by Wiltshire Police following reports of an unsafe building, which was evacuated as a precaution.
The property was formerly the Six Bells pub, which closed in 2002 before being converted into a residential property.
Wiltshire Council has now confirmed that its Building Control team has attended the site and assessed the severely damaged building.
Following the assessment, officers advised that North Street should remain closed due to safety concerns.
The closure is expected to continue over the coming days while structural engineers carry out further assessments of the property.
To maintain access to the northern end of North Street, the council has temporarily lifted the one-way restriction.
This means motorists can access that section of the street from the A36.
Wiltshire Council said it would continue monitoring the situation and provide further updates when more information becomes available.
It remains unclear what caused the wall to collapse or exactly when North Street will reopen.
