Locals living near a murder investigation in Trowbridge claim the man was ‘pushed through a window’, before dying in the garden below.
Three separate neighbours, who spoke to Wiltshire 999s at different intervals following the incident, opened up about what happened in Whiterow Park.
Emergency services were called to an address after reports of a disorder at around 9.30pm on Monday (25 August). A 39-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.

One neighbour, with a view of the rear of the property, said: “It was pretty horrific. A man was pushed through the upstairs window after having an argument with some other people there.
“I’m not sure what the argument was about, but I heard lots of shouting before the glass broke and a loud bang. It’s very sad, it’s normally very quiet down here.”
Another resident, who got in touch shortly after the 999 response, told of how the “person pushed from upstairs window has passed away” – adding that one person was seen to be “detained” by officers in attendance.

The other local spoke of how they saw emergency services, including the Wiltshire and Bath Air Ambulance critical care car, before hearing that a man had been “thrown through a window pane by another man”.
Wiltshire Police previously confirmed that a 61-year-old man from Trowbridge and a 46-year-old man from Hilperton have been arrested on suspicion murder. They remain in custody.
The force is yet to provide more about the circumstances surrounding the death. However, photos show the upstairs window smashed – and grey polythene covering the roof of a shed in the garden below.

Detectives from the Major Crime Investigation Team (MCIT) were carrying out door-to-door enquiries in the street today (Tuesday), and the road remains cordoned off.
A number of forensic vehicles were parked outside the address, including the South West Forensics welfare vehicle. Specialist forensics staff could be seen donning white suits as they worked to examine the scene.

“There is not thought to be any ongoing threat to the public”, a spokesperson said.
Adding: “A cordon is in place and officers will remain in the area; we would like to thank the local community for their patience while enquiries continue.
“Investigators would like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time who may have witnessed what took place.
“We would also like to hear from anyone who may have doorbell or dash cam footage taken yesterday evening.
“You can also leave information anonymously by calling Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.”
