Two people have been arrested for murder after a man was ‘killed’ in the garden of a house in Trowbridge.
Emergency services were called to reports of a disorder at an address in Whiterow Park, off Frome Road, at around 9.30pm on Monday night (25 August).
A 39-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene – with a murder investigation launched a short time later. His next of kin has been informed.

Neighbours reported seeing a significant ambulance and police presence – followed by forensics vans in the early hours of today (Tuesday).
Wiltshire Police say a 61-year-old man from Trowbridge and a 46-year-old man from Hilperton have been arrested on suspicion murder.

Forensics were swiftly deployed, with staff in white suits photographing the area and carrying out enquiries inside the property. A forensic tent has also been erected in the rear garden.
A private ambulance attended at around 10am, removing the man’s body from the home.

Police are likely to remain on scene for the rest of the day. The street is currently cordoned off, with access for local residents only.

A force spokesperson said: “Two men have been arrested on suspicion of murder following the death of a 39-year-old man in Trowbridge.
“Officers were called to a residential address in Whiterow Park at about 9.30pm yesterday (25/08) following reports of a disorder.
“A 39-year-old man, who was in the rear garden of the property, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene despite the best efforts of police and paramedics.
“His next of kin have been informed and our thoughts are with them at this time.
“A 61-year-old man from Trowbridge and a 46-year-old man from Hilperton have been arrested on suspicion of murder.
“There is not thought to be any ongoing threat to the public.
“A cordon is in place and officers will remain in the area; we would like to thank the local community for their patience while enquiries continue.
“Investigators would like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time who may have witnessed what took place.
“We would also like to hear from anyone who may have doorbell or dash cam footage taken yesterday evening.
