A three-day investigation into an ‘incident’ at a Swindon home has concluded.
Police were first spotted at the property in Chandos Close, Grange Park, on Tuesday (23 April) – but remained on scene until Thursday evening (25 April).
Officers are believed to have made entry into the house using a battering ram as they responded to what has been labelled a “medical incident”.
The force refused to provide any details on casualties or their conditions, stating it “would be inappropriate to comment any further”.
Forensics, specialist search officers and detectives have been in attendance over the past three days as they work to establish if any crimes were committed.
Local residents were left baffled as officers knocked their doors for information but refused to explain more about what had occurred.
One person told Wiltshire 999s that no ambulances attended alongside police initially, and Thames Water were searching the drains with a camera on a wire.
Wiltshire Police has since confirmed that their investigation has concluded with “no further action required” – but won’t say more about what prompted their probe.
“We would like to thank the family involved for their understanding and co-operation”, a spokesperson said.
