A man who was stopped by a Wiltshire 999s journalist during an incident in Swindon town centre has been sent to prison for assaulting three emergency service workers.
Father Wezley Dale Mcgregor was stopped by Daniel Jae Webb as he intervened in an alleged ‘affray’ involving two men outside Vodafone in Canal Walk on 18 September.
On 20 September, Mcgregor attended Swindon Magistrates Court charged with three counts of ‘assault by beating of an emergency worker’. He pleaded guilty to the charges.
Magistrates sentenced him to 12 weeks in custody for each of the offences, but all three terms will be served concurrently. He will also pay £300 in compensation.

Last night I came across two males fighting in Swindon town centre. Ran towards the incident to intervene. Male 1 was armed with metal stick and using it against the Male 2 in a stabbing motion. Managed to hold him as police arrived. Footage* from two minutes into the incident. pic.twitter.com/Fk5nO83IaV
