A major investigation is underway after a man’s body was discovered in a woods.
Police raced to reports of a deceased person in the trees alongside the polo field in Ludgershall, near Tidworth, last Thursday (24 September).
An urgent probe was launched into the death, with officers swarming the tragic scene.
Wiltshire Police confirmed the body was that of a man aged in his 60s.
Forensics worked in the woodland gathering evidence and combing the area for clues.
The force said enquiries are ongoing, and the death is being treated as “unexplained”.
“His next of kin are aware and our thoughts are with them at this sad time”, a spokesperson added.
Detectives remain trying to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident.
