A man has been rescued from a river in Netheravon this evening (8 November).
Emergency services were scrambled to the serious incident in the Mill Road area, where an adult male was pulled from the River Avon.
Fire crews from Amesbury and Pewsey, supported by the specialist water rescue team from Trowbridge, were called to the incident at around 7.30pm.
999 personnel administered first aid ahead of the ambulance service’s arrival.
The patient has since been taken to hospital for treatment. His condition is unknown as this time.
“One adult male has been safely rescued from the nearby river”, a spokesperson for Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Servoce said.
They added: “Crews are instigating first aid to the male casualty.”
