A Salisbury woman has been banned from the roads after admitting driving while almost twice the legal alcohol limit.
Faith Francis, 29, of Vokes Way, appeared before Salisbury Magistrates’ Court on Friday (18 September).
The court heard that the defendant was arrested on suspicion of drink driving near The Maltings car park in Salisbury after a CCTV operator alerted police.
She provided a roadside breath test which showed 68 micrograms of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35 micrograms.
Francis was disqualified from driving for 12 months and ordered to pay an £80 fine.
Wiltshire Police Roads Policing Sergeant Will Ayres said: “There is never an excuse to drink and drive.
“Anyone who decides to drive while being over the limit is placing themselves and others at risk and this is simply unacceptable.”
