A man was killed in a road traffic collision on the A346 yesterday (1 December).
The main route past Burbage was closed for most of the day following the fatal smash, which involved three vehicles, at around 6.15am.
A car and van suffered the most serious damage in the incident, with a male in the van – believed to be the passenger – suffering significant injuries.
The man, aged in his 50s, man was pronounced dead at the scene.

A witness told Wiltshire 999s that they believe the crash occurred during an overtaking manoeuvre on the Burbage bypass.
Complex collision investigation work took several hours to complete, followed by the recovery of the vehicles involved.
“We were called to the A346 at Stibb Green, Burbage at 6.31am this morning following a two vehicle road traffic collision between a car and a van”, a spokesperson for Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said.
Adding: “We have three crews in attendance, from Marlborough, Ludgershall and Swindon, together with a heavy rescue unit from Reading.”
Wiltshire Police is asking anyone who witnessed the collision or anyone who may have dash cam footage to get in touch immediately by calling 101 and quoting log number 31 of 1 December.
