UPDATE: Pedestrian killed in Devizes crash as Storm Claudia batters county
A main road near Devizes has been closed in both directions after a serious crash.
Emergency services were called to A361 Caen Hill at around 6.30pm today (Friday).
The incident is understood to have involved a pedestrian and at least one vehicle.
The route is blocked in both directions, with a full forensic collision investigation underway.
A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: “We are currently dealing with a serious road traffic collision on the A361 at Caen Hill.
“The road is closed between Marsh Lane and Dunkirk Hill and is expected to remain closed for several hours.
“Please avoid the area and follow the diversion route out of Devizes via Dunkirk Hill.”
