A hero bus driver from Wiltshire has helped save the life of a passenger with CPR.
Dave, who has worked for Faresaver for more than a decade, drives the 231 and X31 services between Chippenham and Bath.
In March, the firm named him as their Driver of the Month. The award follows several compliments from passengers highlighting his positive attitude and willingness to help.
However, the most notable praise related to an incident in which Dave carried out CPR on an unresponsive passenger while on duty.
“Some have said he saved his life”, a spokesperson for Faresaver said.
With the award came a bonus – which Dave donated to Wiltshire and Bath Air Ambulance.
“Well done Dave”, they added.
He was congratulated by Shaun, Licensing Supervisor at Faresaver, when receiving the award.
