Around 70 people gathered for an emotional memorial event in Chippenham following the murder of Shayne Hambakachere.
The gathering took place at Hardenhuish School on Tuesday evening (3 February), where floral tributes have been left beneath a tree on the site.
Candles were lit and placed around the tree as adults and students stood together in silence and reflection. Heart-shaped balloons were also released.

Members of Shayne’s family attended, including his father and uncle, alongside other relatives.
Shayne’s father and uncle spoke to those gathered, thanking the community for the love and support shown to the family.
His uncle spoke about the family’s faith giving them strength and shared memories of the last time he saw Shayne.
He said the family could see how much Shayne was thought of by the community.
Ju Angell, who helped arrange the event, said: “What started as an idea for my boys and a few friends turned into this AMAZING turn out to remember Shayne”.
Councillor Liz Alstrom attended the memorial and spoke to those present about community spaces being available for anyone who needs support.
She helped to spread awareness of places people can go to talk or seek help.
Representatives from The Rise Trust were also in attendance to offer support.
As the event came to an end, many students were visibly emotional and comforted each other with hugs.
More than an hour later, people were still gathered at the site, consoling one another and paying their respects.
Shayne Hambakachere was stabbed to death in Chippenham on Saturday (31 January). A 15-year-old boy has been charged with murder.
