Two air ambulances have landed in Marlborough – with a casualty rushed to hospital.
Emergency services were called to a serious medical incident just off Port Hill at around 8.30am this morning (Wednesday).
Wiltshire and Bath Air Ambulance were tasked alongside a local ambulance crew, with the charity’s critical care medics working on a patient for more than two hours.

Great Western Air Ambulance Charity (GWAAC) was deployed later at 10.40am, with on-board medics – including a critical care doctor – providing further treatment on scene.
Both helicopters touched down on The Common, just metres from the incident.
Around three hours after the initial 999 call, the casualty was conveyed to the Great Western Hospital in Swindon. Further details about the emergency are unclear at this stage.

In a statement, a spokesperson for GWAAC confirmed that responded “by helicopter with a Critical Care Doctor and two Specialist Paramedics” on board the aircraft.
They team provided treatment before “ground-escorting them to hospital” in a land ambulance, they added.
South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust told Wiltshire 999s that one double-crewed land ambulance, two air ambulances and an operations officer was tasked.
They confirmed that one patient was taken to the Great Western Hospital by ambulance.
