The Wiltshire Air Ambulance helicopter was spotted over West Wiltshire last night, after three weeks offline.
The aircraft was flown to Thruxton for its 100-hour service on 1 February, where it was discovered work needed to be done.
Mechanics found a fault with the main rotor head, resulting in urgent repair work being undertaken to ensure the helicopter was safe to fly.
It returned to its Semington base yesterday evening, shortly before 6pm. The yellow and green aircraft was spotted flying over Westbury at around 8pm, but this is believed to have been for a training flight.
It later landed in Marlborough, attending a serious medical emergency there.
The charity confirmed it remained operation whilst the helicopter was offline, responding to incidents in two rapid response vehicles (cars).
