UPDATE: Police release statement after teen girls followed in Chippenham
Four teen girls were reportedly followed him by a man driving a car’ in Chippenham.
The alleged incident, which is said to have happened on Friday evening (31 January), is the fourth of its kind in recent days.
It’s claimed four girls – aged 17 – went to McDonald’s in a car. When they left, they were followed home to Westcroft by a man driving a light-coloured car.
The mother of one of the teens said the suspect “sat staring at them all for over ten minutes” and when her daughter got out of the car, he “followed her to the end of the path leading to my front door”.
It was reported to the police on Sunday morning (2 February). She said they girls were “petrified” and has some of the incident on CCTV – which was emailed to an officer.
As covered by Wiltshire 999s, a similar incident occurred on Sunday – with a woman claiming that she was followed by a man driving a grey Mercedes in Bristol Road at 6.30am.
It follows two other incidents last week, one involving a 12-year-old boy in Woodlands Road and one involving a 14-year-old girl in Union Road.
