Police have released a statement after four teenage girls were followed in Chippenham.
As reported earlier, a man is alleged to have been in a vehicle when he followed the children – who were in another vehicle – from McDonald’s to their home on Friday (31 January).
“We are appealing for information about a suspicious incident in Chippenham that took place at about 10.30pm on Friday (31/01)”, a spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said.
Adding: “A teenager who was driving with her friends from the McDonalds in Bath Road, Chippenham, reported being followed by a person in a white estate car (make unknown).
“The vehicle followed them to where they parked up in Westcroft where it parked for a short while before leaving.
“The driver of the other car was described as being an overweight white male with balding short hair.
“If you witnessed what took place or if you have any dashcam footage taken from the date and location, please contact us on 101 quoting log 54250013207.”
