A Swindon woman has been charged after a dramatic crash on Easter Sunday.
999 crews raced to reports of a car colliding with a residential building in Long Cross in Lawrence Weston, Bristol, at around around 5am on 31 March.
As previously reported, a black BMW 1 Series left the road – careering uphill through a phone box, a garden and into block of flats.
The female driver was arrested on suspicion of drink driving and taken to custody after being checked over by paramedics on scene.
Avon and Somerset Police confirmed it has since charged Rebecca Rhoades, of Roman Crescent, Old Town, with drink driving.
She has been released on bail and is due to appear at Bristol Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 23 May.
