A Swindon road was closed in both directions this morning whilst armed police raided a house.
Seven firearms officers, working alongside a dog unit and local police, entered the property in Beech Avenue, Pinehurst, at around 6am believed to be in search of an assault suspect.
Detectives from Swindon CID were also at the scene as the occupants of the house and their neighbours sat in the street in their dressing gowns.
The road was closed until 7.15am when armed police were stood down from the incident.
