Police are stepping up patrols at a Swindon lake following concerns about illegal fishing, anti-social behaviour and criminal damage.
Officers from the West Swindon neighbourhood policing team are working alongside Peatmoor Angling Club to protect the lake and tackle problems at the site.
The lake is stocked and managed by the angling club, which has invested significant time, effort and money into maintaining it.
Wiltshire Police said people wishing to fish at the lake must have a valid fishing licence and a day pass.
Day passes for the lake are available from Angling Direct in Swindon.
Fishing without the required licence or permission can constitute a criminal offence under the Salmon and Freshwater Fisheries Act 1975.
Night fishing is also not permitted at the lake.
Officers will carry out patrols in the area in a bid to deter anti-social behaviour and criminal offences.
Anyone who witnesses a crime in progress should call 999. Other incidents can be reported to Wiltshire Police online.
