A Swindon property reportedly linked to a gang rape has been targeted with spray paint.
The word “rapist” was sprayed on the front door and window of a suspected House in Multiple Occupation (HMO) just a day after a horror attack.
Police were seen searching the central Swindon property and its garden, including outside bins, following the reported rape on Tuesday 13 October.
Wiltshire Police confirmed that the vandalism “relates to an ongoing investigation” but declined to comment further about the circumstances.
It’s believed investigative work carried out at the address is linked to the alleged gang rape in the car park behind Great Western Surgery.

A woman in her 30s reported being sexually assaulted by a number of males, prompting a police investigation.
Officers cordoned off an area to the rear of the medical practice, with police guarding the scene while forensic examinations were carried out later that morning.
Four men, aged 19, 20, 21 and 21, were arrested on suspicion of rape shortly after the incident.
Detectives interviewed all four suspects before they were released on conditional bail as enquiries continued.
Speaking after the arrests, Detective Inspector Tom Straker said: “We recognise the concern that this worrying incident will have had in the local community.
“We were able to rapidly locate and arrest four men, two of whom are aged 21, a 19-year-old and a 20-year-old, in connection with the investigation.
“We are not currently looking for anyone else in relation to this. You may notice an increased police presence in the area. If you have any concerns, please do approach our officers.”
Investigators have appealed for information from anyone who was in the Farriers Close area in the early hours of Tuesday 13 October.
They also want to hear from anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage recorded in the area at the time.
Anyone who can help should call Wiltshire Police on 101 quoting reference 54260123495.
