Police are hunting a lorry driver who caused damage to a shop in Marlborough.
Officers were called to the scene in London Road following a report of scaffolding having been struck on Sunday morning (11 January).
It’s thought a heavy goods vehicle hit the structure, which resulted in it collapsing and causing damage to the Marlborough Pets building in the early hours.
The lorry driver failed to stop, with Wiltshire Police called on anyone with information to call 101 and quote crime reference number 54260003517.
In a post shortly after the incident, Marlborough Pets spokesperson said: ‘There was an incident in the early hours of this morning on London Road.
‘Thankfully no one was injured, but sadly our front window (and our January display!) were damaged.
‘It may look a little different outside, for now, while repairs are arranged, but we’re happy to say we’re open as usual and here for all your furry friends food and goodies.
‘Thank you so much for your continued support – we can’t wait to bring back the window and some new displays soon!
‘Thank you to Wiltshire Police and Wiltshire Council for your help this morning on London Road.’
A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: “We believe a HGV has collided with scaffolding in London Road, Marlborough in the early hours of Sunday morning (11/1).
“This has caused damage to the buildings and enquiries are currently ongoing to identify the vehicle.
“Anyone with information should call 101 and quote crime reference number 54260003517 immediately.”
