UPDATE: Pedestrian, 70s, dies after being struck by car in Salisbury
Police have closed a Salisbury road after a ‘serious’ road traffic collision.
The crash, which is thought to have happened overnight, took place in Exeter Street – with the area cordoned off this morning (Friday).
According to locals, somebody was being treated by medics in the road near the junction for Carmelite Way.
Further details are unclear at this stage, but it’s believed a forensic collision investigation is being undertaken.
A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: “Please be aware of road closures in place in Salisbury on Exeter Street between St Ann Street and the Churchill Way roundabout to allow emergency services to attend a road traffic collision.
“Please seek alternative routes and expect significant delays in the area – closures are likely to be in place for a number of hours. Thank you for your patience.”
