A man has died following a serious incident at a busy restaurant in Swindon.
A significant number of emergency services personnel attended the HongXin Oriental Buffet car park in Peatmoor at around midday on Saturday (4 November).
According to several eyewitnesses, CPR was in progress and visitors to the popular establishment were told to wait in their vehicles by police officers trying the manage the area.
The incident saw at least two ambulance crews, two rapid response vehicles and an air ambulance car – alongside approximately five police units – in attendance.
Despite the best efforts of 999 responders, the man – aged in his 30s – was pronounced dead at the scene.
A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police confirmed that the death is not being treated as suspicious.
In a statement, they said: “We were called to the sudden death of a man in his 30s in the car park at HongXin Oriental Buffet in Swindon at approximately midday on Saturday.
“The man is believed to have suffered a medical episode. His next of kin has been informed.”
