A man has been arrested after police responded to an incident in Chippenham.
Officers raced to the scene in Loyalty Street shortly before 7pm this evening (Friday).
At the height of the incident there were approximately six police vehicles, including a public order van, in attendance.
A man and woman were detained outside Phipps Court following an incident in the Dover Street area.
The topless man, aged in his 30s, has was subsequently arrested on suspicion of burglary. He has been taken to Melksham custody for questioning.
The woman was taken into the back of a police car and driven away. She was uncuffed and it’s unclear whether the has been arrested.
