A man and a police officer have been injured during a disorder at Swindon bus station.
Three people have been arrested following the incident off Manchester Road early yesterday evening (Saturday, 25 May).
Police responded to reports of a disturbance at around 8.30pm, and found a 45-year-old with injuries – and he was taken to hospital for treatment.
At the scene, a police officer was assaulted and sustained a minor injury.
A 46-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm, making threats to kill and assaulting an emergency worker.
A 29-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
A 33-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of affray.
All three suspects remained in police custody for questioning this morning (Sunday).
Footage seen by Wiltshire 999s showed at least two people being restrained on the ground as more officers arrived at the incident to help their colleagues.
Whilst it has not be confirmed, it’s believed an officer press their urgent assistance button – resulting in a significant number of officers attending the scene.
Some local bus services were delayed due to police vehicles blocking part of the station – but they were able to resume a short time later.
