A man has been injured crashing his motorbike into a parked vehicle in Chippenham.
Emergency services were called to a two-vehicle road traffic collision in London Road at around 9pm on Wednesday evening (9 September).
A Keeway Superlight 125 motorcycle struck the rear of a parked BMW 1 Series between the Long Close junction and the traffic calming chicanes.
The driver, who appeared to be a young man, was treated by paramedics at the scene and taken to hospital. His injuries aren’t believed to be serious.
The BMW sustained rear off-side damage and a smashed rear windscreen. It’s unclear how much damage the bike suffered as a result.
The road was closed in both directions for around one hour, with motorists forced to divert as 999 crews worked at the incident.
