A man is in custody after crashing a car into a roundabout in Chippenham.
Emergency services were called to a single-vehicle road traffic collision on the A350 shortly after 7pm on Friday evening (9 January).
Officers attended the scene and discovered a black Skoda had left the carriageway on Bumpers Farm Roundabout.

The vehicle, which sustained front-end damage, had come to rest in the roundabout – which is currently dug out and coned off as part of construction work.
The driver, a 22-year-old man, was arrested on suspicion of drink driving and drug driving having failed a roadside DrugWipe for cocaine.

An ambulance was sent to the incident, with the man taken to hospital as a precaution.
He was later conveyed to custody, where he remained for questioning this afternoon (Saturday).
