A man has been arrested after woman was assaulted in Swindon.
The incident happened outside the shops, opposite Lawn Medical Centre, on Guildford Avenue, at 12.50pm on Tuesday 21 March.
The victim, a woman in her 40s, was approached by a man who pushed her to the ground; she sustained a broken wrist which is likely to require pins.
A 47-year-old man who is from the local area has been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and has been released on bail pending further enquiries.
PC Dan Travis said: “This was a nasty incident which left the victim with a significant break to her wrist. She is facing a lengthy recovery process.
“I would like to speak to anyone who was in the Guildford Avenue area around lunch time on Tuesday 21 March – did you see the incident take place? We’d like to hear from you.”
