A man who shot at a taxi driver with an air rifle and then pointed the barrel of gun in his face has been sentenced at Swindon Crown Court.
The court heard how 43-year-old father Darrell Edwards armed himself with the gun after being dropped outside his girlfriend’s Royal Wotton Bassett flat, the Swindon Advertiser reports.
The former refugee charity worker, who is already serving a community order for another offence, admitted the offence of possessing a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence.
Edwards was sentenced to a 24 month prison sentence suspended for two years. He was also told to attend 100 hours of unpaid work and pay £1,000 compensation.
