Trains headed through Bath Spa have been canceled after a person was hit by a train.

The incident happened at Sydney Gardens in Bath at around 5.15pm.

A GWR spokesperson said: “Owing to an incident in the Bath Spa area we are currently unable to operate any train services to / from or via Bath Spa station.

“The general pattern of train service will be for services between London Paddington and Bristol Temple Meads to be diverted between Swindon and Bristol Temple Meads not serving Chippenham or Bath Spa.

“Train services along the Bristol Temple Meads – Westbury corridor will not operate between those points.

“Holders of GWR tickets will be conveyed in the local Bristol TM – Bath Spa – Westbury areas.”
