Head injury for elderly woman hit by bus in Devizes town centre

An elderly woman has suffered a head injury when she was hit by a bus in Devizes.

Emergency services swarmed Market Place at around 4.30pm on Tuesday (9July).

The casualty, aged in her 80s, was struck by a bus and knocked to the ground.

She sustained a head injury and was taken to hospital for treatment. However, despite the impact, her wounds are not thought to be serious.

The road was closed for over an hour as 999 crews dealt with the incident, causing chaos in the town centre.
