A Gloucester has been charged over a machete attack robbery in Devizes.
Emergency services were called to reports of a man having been stabbed at a property in Rendells Court at around 3.30pm on Friday (31 May).
Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance attended the scene alongside local ambulance crews and police – treating victim Craig Tate for knife wounds.
The casualty, aged in his 30s, was rushed to Great Western Hospital for treatment and later discharged. Wiltshire Police said his injuries weren’t serious.
Akiel Jacobs has been charged with wounding with intent, possession of a machete and robbery.
It’s alleged he stabbed Mr Tate as he stole £2,150.
The 31-year-old, of Colwell School Close, Gloucester, has been remanded in police custody and is due to appear at Swindon Magistrates’ Court this morning (Monday).
