Firefighters are currently battling a major blaze in a terraced street in Swindon.
Emergency services were called to the incident Rayfield Grove, off Ferndale Road, shortly before 1pm this afternoon (Monday).
A car – a blue Skoda Superb – reportedly caught fire, with the flames spreading to a fence and subsequently nearby properties.
At least two terraced houses are thought to be affected, with firefighters working to dampen down the scene – having swiftly extinguished the fire.
Three fire engines are at present, with both Rayfield Grove and Hunters Grove blocked. A senior fire officer is also in attendance.
Nobody is believed to have been injured, but a dog was rescued.
In a statement, a spokesperson Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “We were called at 12.43pm today (16 September) to Rayfield Grove, Ferndale to reports of a fire affecting two properties.
“Crews from Swindon, Westlea and Stratton attended where six breathing apparatus wearers used two main jets, one hose reel jet and small tools to extinguish the fire.
“A dog was rescued from one of the properties and our stop was at 2.08pm.
“It appears that the fire started on land to the rear of the houses and spread. A fire investigation is ongoing into the exact cause.”
