Detectives investigating the robbery of a teenager in Purton have made an arrest.
The 17-year-old victim taken to hospital following the violent attack on a footpath adjacent to the Lydiard Millicent Church Cemetery at around 8pm on 18 January.
He was left bloodied after reportedly being assaulted by males armed with metal poles.
The suspects are the alleged to have then made off with the victim’s orange Voodoo bicycle.
Wiltshire Police today confirmed they located and arrested a 17-year-old boy from Royal Wootton Bassett in connection with the incident.
At the time of the robbery, a spokesperson for the force said: “The victim was taken to hospital for his injuries which are not thought to be life changing.”
