A Chippenham sex offender has been sentenced after committing new child-related crimes five years on from his first conviction.
Lewis Walker admitted making 38 indecent images of children and breaching a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) when he appeared at Salisbury Magistrates Court in December.
The 31-year-old, of Bakehouse Close, had been convicted of attempting to engage in sexual communications with a child at Bristol Crown Court on 10 January 2020.

At that hearing, the defendant was slapped with a five-year SHPO – which include prohibitions around children and his digital activities and internet-enabled devices.
In January this year, he returned to court to be sentenced for his new offending. Alongside two counts of making child abuse images, he also pleaded guilty to breaching his SHPO.
At Salisbury Crown Court, he was jailed for seven months and was ordered to register as a sex offender for a period of seven years.
Another SHPO was imposed, with similar prohibitions, for seven further years.
Editor’s note: We have corrected the length of the prison sentence from nine months to seven months. The fact one term of imprisonment was concurrent was missed. We apologise for the error.
